The Learning Ladder offers One-on-One tutoring in all subjects K-12, Test Preparation: (HSPT, ISEE, PSAT, SAT, ACT, TOEFL) and Jr. High Boot Camp.

Today the Learning Ladder offers one-on-one tutoring year-round, and is widely recognized by schools throughout the area. Each year since 2005 we have been invited by St. Francis High School to provide their on-campus test preparation for HSPT and SAT exams. We also enjoy unique relationships with many other private schools, providing co-ed programs and a variety of academic enhancement options.

Ultimately the measure of any tutoring establishment is the success of their students. Over 95% of our students applying to private high schools are accepted by their first school of choice. Indeed our success has gone hand-in-hand with the children we have helped over the past decade.

My daughter had been in tutoring for a year and prepping for the HSPT, specifically, for four months with someone other than Learning Ladder prior to taking her first practice test in the fall so it was disheartening to see her initial results. I was concerned that 3 months wouldn’t be enough time to improve her scores to the level necessary. When Laurie, the owner, spoke about starting the company after struggling to find the right person to work with her son years prior, something resonated with me and I knew Learning Ladder would be the right place to work with my daughter.

She started one on one tutoring immediately, and then went through the boot camp for the 3 weeks prior to the exam. The tutors just had a way of connecting with my daughter so that she was able to understand the material. She actually enjoyed going to tutoring! In 3 months, she was able to double and in some areas triple her scores. They even helped in preparing her for the interview process.

Learning Ladder was flexible, able to work around her extracurricular schedule and is reasonably priced. Special thanks to Brian and Russell who worked with my daughter. She was accepted to all three schools where she applied! She’s continuing to tutor in preparation for the math placement exam and it will be the first place we turn for any future tutoring needs.

Marta just received her admissions packet from FSHA and not only is she admitted…she got a Veritas Scholarship! She also received a scholarship award from Immaculate Heart! We are so proud, and she insists that the reason was her excellent test prep at Learning Ladder! Jennifer M.

Thank you very much for your help. Tomas was accepted to all of the schools he applied to: St. Francis High School, Flintridge Preparatory and The Polytechnic School! He was only one of two students accepted to Poly from a public school system. He was also accepted to the Kirov Academy of Ballet, Joffrey Ballet Academy (Chicago), Joffrey Ballet School (NYC-100% Scholarship) and was one of twenty-two 14-18 year old dancers chosen in the USA for the Gelsey Kirkland Academy. He will be attending the Joffrey in Chicago this summer. I am sure we will be seeing each other at the next scholastic hurdle, SAT prep.

Learning Ladder was a great experience! I took the SAT prep course there and had a great experience. My tutor was great and helped me in academic areas that needed improvement. As a result I scored with significant improvement. Prior to the test prep their tutors helped me with subject homework, giving me the GPA I needed for college applications. The entire staff went the extra mile to assist me with whatever I needed to get papers done and homework assignments in on time.

I have been coming to the Learning Ladder for 3.5 years and I’m a junior at La Cañada High School, class of 2016. It’s a great way to reinforce what I have learned in the classroom. Everyone here is willing and happy to help!
